Director Shari Milewski joined the Board of Directors for Head Start, Inc. in New Castle County, DE. Head Start, Inc. is a private non-profit organization devoted to promoting the school readiness of children up to 5 years old from income-eligible families.

As stated on the LCLD website, “The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged themselves… to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.”

Maron Marvel member Melissa Fallah will be speaking at the Women’s Breakfast during this year’s Talc Litigation Conference hosted by Perrin Conferences on June 1, 2023. Melissa is based out of the firm’s Chicago office and is a member of Maron Marvel’s DEI Committee.
This full day of CLE/CE credited panels and presentations will cover new and ongoing issues within talc claims and settlements. The firm is also co-sponsoring an opening network cocktail reception the evening before on May 31.

Associate attorney Gabrielle Morrison, from our Philadephia, PA office, volunteered for a career day panel at Mastery Charter School: Hardy Williams High in Philadelphia, PA. She participated in multiple networking sessions and had a great time engaging with the juniors and seniors.


Our Jackson, MS office completed its food drive by collecting over 500 canned goods and dry pantry items. The food was delivered to two local food banks, including the Good Samaritan Center, a nonprofit social service agency helping families and individuals access food and clothing.

The Sharing is Caring Neighborhood Block Garden is the dream of one retired Air Force veteran to feed her community come to life. In 2020, Norma Jean purchased an overgrown lot across the street from her house and, through lots of hard work, converted it into a bountiful garden.
The donation will be used to purchase indoor shelf lighting, two self-watering seed trays, and warming mats for each for immediate use in germinating new plants for spring planting.

Our diversity, equity, and inclusion director Antoinette Hubbard along with attorneys Kiadii Harmon, Shounak Sarkar, Kim Christy, Karen Brehm, and Shari Milewski, attended the Delaware State Bar Association’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast and Statewide Day of Service.
Team members from our Wilmington office attended the Special Olympics Delaware “Champions Together” Luncheon, where they made a donation on behalf of the firm. The event provided a space for supporters to connect and potentially invest in the mission of Special Olympics Delaware. Wilmington DEI subcommittee chair Shari L. Milewski attended along with Rebecca J. Bonk, Crystal-Gayle Montague, Lisa D. Moore, and Brandy N. Tankard.
As stated on the organization’s website, “The mission of Special Olympics Delaware is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 4,200 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”
Earlier this year, the firm volunteered at the Special Olympics Summer Games, and we look forward to getting involved with more upcoming events.
