Yasmin Mustafa is an associate attorney in Maron Marvel’s Philadelphia office, where she focuses her practice on insurance defense and complex litigation matters. She represents clients through all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, inspections, and trial preparation.
Yasmin has hands-on experience managing discovery and drafting substantive pleadings and motions, including motions to compel, motions in limine, and motions to vacate default judgments. She regularly conducts depositions, collaborates with experts to evaluate liability and damages, and prepares litigation reports that help clients assess risk and make informed strategic decisions. Her work includes detailed claim file analysis and advising clients on potential outcomes and exposure.
Prior to joining Maron Marvel, Yasmin gained extensive litigation experience through roles at national and regional law firms, where she handled matters involving premises liability, insurance coverage, and emerging issues in artificial intelligence litigation. She has supported trial teams by developing deposition outlines, case chronologies, bench memoranda, and settlement materials, and by conducting in-depth legal and factual research.
Yasmin’s background also includes experience in regulatory and transactional matters from her time as a legal intern with a global investment management firm, where she assisted with securities filings, derivatives documentation, and compliance-related projects.
