Patrick Fitzmaurice defends a broad range of clients in premises liability matters and product liability suits throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He manages cases from start to finish, including drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, handling motion practice, and appellate work.
Patrick has a proven track record of securing favorable judgments for his clients in state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels. Notably, he successfully prepared a motion for summary judgment in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a subsequent successful appellate brief before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, focusing on assumption of risk in a premises liability matter. Additionally, he prevailed on a summary judgment motion in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas involving successor liability and drafted two effective interlocutory appeals before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania challenging jurisdiction and compelling arbitration based on the relevant contract.
Before joining Maron Marvel, Patrick was an associate at a civil defense firm in Philadelphia, PA. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania under the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez and the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky. He was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Holly J. Ford of the Court of Common Pleas for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.
A lifelong Philadelphian, Patrick is actively involved in his community, serving as the board president for the Pennsport Civic Association and as the board of trustees’ president for the Philadelphia Electrical and Technology Charter High School.
