Kelsey J. Cooper

Kelsey Cooper is a dedicated associate attorney with a diverse litigation background spanning complex class actions, federal and state criminal matters, and direct client representation. She focuses her practice on civil litigation and the defense of complex matters, bringing experience in legal research, motion practice, discovery, and case development. 

Kelsey is skilled in conducting detailed legal research and drafting substantive pleadings and motions. Her experience includes preparing dispositive motions in complex class action litigation, analyzing statutory and case law to support litigation strategy, and reviewing discovery materials to evaluate claims and defenses. She has also drafted federal and state criminal filings, including motions in limine, sentencing memoranda, and post-conviction matters, providing her with a broad foundation in litigation practice.  

Known for her thoughtful approach to client service and legal analysis, Kelsey has experience managing client matters and navigating complex federal regulations. While serving as a licensed student attorney with the University of Illinois Immigration Law Clinic, she managed an independent caseload, advised clients on immigration matters, and conducted client interviews in both English and Spanish.
