Keith M. O’Connor

Keith O’Connor is a partner in the firm’s Jersey City office, where he represents manufacturers, distributors, premises owners, and other corporate clients in complex asbestos, toxic tort, and environmental litigation throughout New York and New Jersey.

Keith focuses on Environmental Toxic Tort Litigation representing high-profile clients, including commercial and residential equipment manufacturers, Municipalities, various subcontractors, and national and local suppliers/distributors. Additionally, Keith represents major distributors heavily involved in talc claims.

With nearly two decades of litigation experience, Keith has built a reputation for successfully managing high-volume, high-exposure dockets while developing practical, cost-effective defense strategies for national and regional clients. He has extensive experience handling every stage of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, depositions, expert witness development, dispositive motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Keith’s experience includes overseeing thousands of pending matters and coordinating litigation strategy across large teams of attorneys. He regularly appears before state and federal courts, argues complex motions, participates in settlement conferences, and provides strategic counsel designed to achieve efficient and favorable outcomes for his clients. He also plays an active role in developing defense strategies in the New York City Asbestos Litigation (NYCAL) docket and mentors junior attorneys through hands-on training and supervision.

Throughout his career, Keith has represented Fortune 500 companies in complex mass tort litigation, managed multimillion-dollar settlement negotiations, and served in leadership roles at several nationally recognized defense firms. His experience spans all facets of asbestos litigation, from coordinating large-scale discovery efforts and expert development to resolving high-stakes claims involving significant financial exposure.
