Jarod Cyprus is an associate attorney in the firm’s Mobile office, where he represents businesses, insurers, and their insureds in a wide range of civil litigation matters. His practice focuses on insurance defense, including claims involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction defects, general liability, personal injury, wrongful death, workers’ compensation, breach of contract, and other complex litigation matters.
Jarod works with clients throughout every stage of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial preparation and appellate proceedings. He has experience evaluating liability and damages, preparing case analyses and litigation budgets, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and discovery, analyzing medical and other subpoenaed records, and assisting clients with mediation and settlement strategy.
Before joining the firm, Jarod gained litigation experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and demand letters in commercial collection and contract matters while assisting with probate and estate planning matters. During law school, he completed internships with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the Rankin County Prosecutor’s Office, Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court, and the Fifteenth Circuit District Attorney’s Office in Mississippi, providing him with a broad foundation in both civil and criminal practice.
