Jagroop Kaur is an Associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office, where she represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Jagroop served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John T. McVay, Jr. of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. In that role, she conducted extensive legal research, drafted judicial opinions, memoranda, and orders, and assisted the court with a broad range of civil matters, including appellate issues and election law. She also supported trial and hearing preparation and participated in court-sponsored settlement and foreclosure conciliation programs.

While in law school, Jagroop gained diverse legal experience as a Certified Legal Intern with the Tribone Center Public Defender’s Clinic, where she developed practical courtroom advocacy skills. She also worked as an Immigration Paralegal, preparing motions, briefs, and immigration petitions, and previously served as a law clerk, conducting legal research and drafting memoranda involving business litigation, employment law, and intellectual property matters.

  • Drafted judicial opinions and orders in complex civil matters involving consumer protection, procedural disputes, mortgage foreclosure, and statutory interpretation in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
  • Assisted with motions court proceedings involving preliminary objections, including medical malpractice matters addressing vicarious liability, corporate negligence, and Certificate of Merit issues.
  • Helped manage a mortgage foreclosure conciliation program by facilitating communication between homeowners, lenders, and counsel to support negotiated resolutions.
  • Conducted legal research and analysis on election litigation, administrative issues, and civil procedural matters for the Court.
  • Prior law firm experience included work on business litigation matters, antitrust class action claim filings, immigration matters, and public defense clinic representation.
