Craig J. Taczy

Craig Taczy brings over a decade of litigation experience to Maron Marvel, having served with distinction in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois. His practice is grounded in extensive courtroom advocacy, strategic case management, and a deep commitment to justice.

Before joining the firm, Craig was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, Illinois. Over his 14-year tenure, he gained a reputation for his compelling courtroom presence and trial skills. He was entrusted with managing complex and high-volume caseloads from arraignment through resolution, handling discovery, pre-trial motions, plea negotiations, and trials.

Earlier in his career, Craig also held roles at both civil litigation and bankruptcy firms, gaining valuable exposure to diverse areas of law.

Prior to his legal career, Craig was a professional athlete, playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. His background in professional sports instilled a strong work ethic, resilience under pressure, and the value of teamwork, all of which translate into his approach to legal practice.
