Avery Dubois is an attorney in the firm’s New Orleans office, where he represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters. His practice focuses on defending businesses and financial institutions in both state and federal courts, with experience handling cases from inception through resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, Avery managed a high-volume litigation practice involving retail collections, executory process and foreclosure actions, and federal lawsuits alleging violations of consumer financial regulations. Avery has extensive experience developing litigation strategy, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, and trying cases. He also managed a team of legal professionals while overseeing a docket of more than 1,000 active matters.
During law school, Avery gained experience in a variety of practice areas through clerkships with private firms and the Jefferson Parish Indigent Defender Board. His work included assisting with personal injury, bankruptcy, succession, business, and criminal defense matters, as well as drafting pleadings, preparing for trial, conducting legal research, and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
