Andrew Corkery’s practice primarily focuses on transportation law, medical malpractice, and construction litigation. He has significant trial experience in Illinois and Missouri State Courts and Illinois Federal Courts. He attended the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel Trial College. He is licensed in Illinois and Missouri.

Trial Experience

2023: American Family Insurance Company v. Boyer Fire Protection: St. Louis County.

Co -tried case involving flooding incident in which Plaintiff claimed damages in excess of 1. 5 million dollars from the sprinkler Inspection Company that last inspected the property.  Jury decided case in favor of Defendant.  Named one of the top 20 Defense Verdicts of 2023 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly.

2019: Keller v. Swansea Rehabilitation- St. Clair County IL.

Lead Counsel in 5-day jury trial in St. Clair County Illinois.  The plaintiff fell in a facility and suffered broken hips and brain bleeding.  Plaintiff had over $900,000 in special damages.  The jury returned verdict for $120,000.  The trial court denied Plaintiff’s Motion for New Trial based on jury not awarding damages for pain and suffering.

2014: Huckaba v. CSXT – Soutern District of Illinois Federal Court.  

Second chair FELA trial in which plaintiff alleged career ending shoulder injury.

2012: Hartman v. CSXT- St. Clair County, Illinois.

Second chair FELA trial in which Plaintiff alleged career ending knee injury as result of fall in East St. Louis yard.  Defense verdict.

2009: Moore v. Norfolk Southern- Madison County, Illinois.

Second chair trial in which plaintiff suffered a traumatic above the hip amputation of leg as result of an alleged defective crane in the Granite City Steel rail yard.  Plaintiff alleged our client Norfolk Southern negligently transported the crane into the yard.  Defense verdict.
