Phil Rothbart is a senior member of the Environmental Regulation and Litigation and Product Liability and Mass Tort Litigation Groups.
Phil practiced medicine for 37 years, practicing medicine and law concurrently for 25 of those years, before joining the firm full-time in 2001. The combination of a medical degree with a law degree provides him with uncommon depth in analyzing toxic tort exposure issues, as well as in taking those cases forward. Between 1986 and 1993, he was both a Visiting Professor and Adjunct Professor at Widener University Law School. He is a member of countless medical associations and societies, including the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of Delaware, and the American Society of Law and Medicine, as well as a member of multiple Bar Associations. Throughout his career, Phil was also appointed to numerous Boards of Directors and was a founding member of Physician’s Health Services of Delaware, which is now Coventry Health Care.
