Amani Augustine is a seasoned litigator attorney who handles high stakes, complex cases before state and federal courts. Her catalogue of work includes class action lawsuits and multi-district litigation in mass tort and product liability matters. Using a strategic and outcome-oriented approach to litigation, Amani’s goal is to get her clients the results they want. She believes trust, based on honest and frank advice, is the basis of any successful client relationship.

Growing up Amani spent a lot of time in a courtroom watching her father, a criminal defense lawyer, win cases by meticulously developing strategies based on fact rather than conjecture. She knew then she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps. Amani began her career working for the District Attorney’s office handling criminal trials and gaining valuable trial experience. Today, Amani has a multi-faceted practice in which she defends corporations in claims of negligence involving construction defect, trucking and personal injuries.

Prior to joining Maron Marvel, Amani was an assistant district attorney with Rapides Parish District Attorney’s office in Alexandria, Louisiana. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald T. Johnson of the 9th Judicial District Court in Rapides Parish and in the City of Chicago’s Department of Law.
