John C. Laager is a senior member of the firm’s environmental litigation practice. He has focused on environmental law for thirty years in private practice, as in-house counsel and as Of Counsel for prestigious law firms and corporations.
Mr. Laager’s client services include the litigation and negotiated resolution of hundreds of environmental remediation cases and claims under federal laws and the laws of many states, including
Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Ohio. His experience includes
work on the decommissioning of nuclear radiation sites and the complex
remediation and liability issues that arise from these sites under regulation of the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency and state laws.
His experience in negotiation involving the allocation of risk among potential responsible parties for contaminated sites, including negotiation with federal and state governments, is an asset to our clients and our firm. In addition to his extensive experience in transactional work involving environmental liability issues that arise in the conveyance and transfer of industrial property, prior to joining Maron Marvel Bradley & Anderson, Mr. Laager worked on preparing appropriate environmental contractual terms and performed environmental due diligence for many complex transactions.
